The wifi was good.
The hotel is pretty run down and the room we stayed in had no window and absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke, there was cigarette ash all the the back of the bed and the bathroom was not clean, there was hair on the floor and toilet. We paid for a room with tv, it was broken. We told reception about the smell of cigarettes and they gave us air freshener at first but when we found out about the tv they moved us to another room with a working tv but then we discovered there were no English channels anyway! The new room had a window but a broken bathroom light! It was on thing after another! There was a family of pigeons nesting above the room and the window was forced open so the noise from them in the morning was really annoying. I would not stay here again, it was quite a high price for what it was. We checked out after out 2 nights and moved to a much nicer hotel for not too much more.

Great location
The staff did not know much English, so it was quite difficult to organise luggage storage, taxis etc etc. There was also no window in the room despite what the photos portray. I would not recommend this place for comfort.

The family room had a private bathroom, which was super clean with no bugs. The AC kept us chill and the location was on point. The simple furniture was cool and the street noise didn't bug us. Shoutout to the reception for unlimited water and cheaper drinks!
We wished they had more fun activities for young folks, like a pool or a hangout area.

When I first booked online, I had asked for a room with tv. And I never got it, though I had paid for a room that was supposed to have a tv. I was so disappointed. Though management offered a tv starting the next day, I decided to check out. There are a lot of other hotels and guesthouses in kk who honor their commitments. Borneo Gaya Lodge did not.

We stayed at Borneo Gaya Lodge during our trip and had a great experience. the private room with a bathroom was simple but comfortable, with clean furnishings and efficient air conditioning. the location was strategic, with plenty of eateries and convenient stores nearby. the staff were helpful and friendly, providing airport transfers on request. We also appreciated the good wifi for streaming, although it wasn't suitable for video conferences. Cons: Nothing, all was good. 👍.

the staff were fantastic- really helpful, willing to help organise tours and make phone calls for arrangements, great english. I enjoyed the living room which made it more liek home - couches, dvds, books and a nice common area to talkt o other people. The main thing i appreciated was that they provide sterilised water which you can refil all your waterbottles with - really handy!! Highly recommended!!
for the price you pay, it is great!. the only thing i can say is, liek most budget hostels in asia, the shower is not seperate to the toilet, so you get water everywhere, but that is the only thing i can point out!!
